Every organization which has young people as members need a well organized program for them. We therefore have our Young Adults department.
The basic function of the Young Adult Ministry is to diligently seek and present different ways to motivate our young adults to live Christian lives. Regular services are designated for our young adults that provide lessons and classes to help develop both their spiritual and natural lives, primarily the spiritual. There are classes for each age group and well prepared teachers to instruct students. There are two main auxiliaries under this ministry: The Fellowship of Young Professionals, (FYP) and the Fellowship of Christian United Singles (FOCUS).
The Fellowship of Young Professionals (FYP)
Fellowship of Young Professionals is a network that is spearheaded by the Young Adult Ministry of the Royal House. FYP equips young adults to declare, communicate, and demonstrate the purpose, power, precepts, and principles of the Kingdom of God, keys to success, entrepreneurship, advocacy, peace, and developments, amongst others. FYP is filled with a powerful worship experience coupled with a life-changing word from God, and a wonderful opportunity for young adults to fellowship.
The Fellowship of Young Professionals is comprised of college students, young professionals, singles, and married couples of the Royal House as well young adults from across the Republic of Liberia and other parts of the world.
The FYP is built on five cornerstones: Strong Biblical Teaching, Education, Community Service, Young Professionals Network, and 21st Century Finance.
FYP Events
YPN plans and hosts Retreats, Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, amongst others, to fellowship, evangelize, raise funds, as well as share the word of God, creative ideas and keys to success.
The After party
Following FYP events is the after party. It is a fellowship opportunity for young adults to interact at a specific location in Monrovia and other parts of Liberia. This includes restaurants, amusement parks, bowling alleys, movie theatres concert halls, and poetry slams, etc.
Fellowship of Christian United Singles (FOCUS)
The goal of FOCUS is to promote greater fellowship among Christian singles, to educate them on God’s expectation of singles in the present day world, and to support one another in love and through the truth in the Word of God.
FOCUS is geared with off-campus social interaction and on-campus thought provoking sessions to keep the singles of The Royal House in a mindset of wholesome growth and abundant overflow. Our mantra is taken from John 10:10, and says, “I have come that you may have life, and life more abundantly”. These words hold the heartbeat of FOCUS; as it single-mindedly focuses on developing the whole person in such a manner that the social boundaries of gender, race, age, or marital status could never contain the sum of its unfolding. And whether or not such a life of a FOCUS member progresses into married bliss or single satisfaction; it surely will progress.
FOCUS meets every two months at seminars, retreats, and other events to socialize, share the word of God and learn new ideas. Adjust your FOCUS. Come grow with us as we grow stronger in the Lord!
